Transaction Detail View

The transaction detail view provides comprehensive information about a single transaction. This guide explains each tab and how to use them effectively.

Accessing Transaction Details

Click on any transaction in the transactions list to open its detail view.

Detail View Layout

The transaction detail page includes:
  • Header: Name, status, type, and quick actions
  • Tabs: Different aspects of the transaction
  • Action Buttons: Status-appropriate actions

Header Section

Key Information

Status BadgeCurrent status (Draft, In Progress, etc.)

Source/SupplierWhere goods come from
DestinationWhere goods are going

Available actions depend on status:

Tabs Overview

Overview Tab

General transaction information:
  • Basic Details: Name, reference number, dates
  • Source/Destination: Supplier or warehouse information
  • Summary Metrics: Total items, total value
  • Notes: Any comments or instructions
  • Metadata: Created date, created by, last modified

Line Items Tab

Products included in the transaction:

Updating Steps

Find Current Step

Locate the next pending step

Click to Update

Click the step or the update button

Enter Details

  • Completion date/time
  • Notes (optional)
  • Attachments (optional)

Save

Step is marked complete, next step becomes active

Adding Documents

Click Add Document

Open the document upload dialog

Cost breakdown and analytics:

For purchase orders:

Timeline visualization of the transaction:

  • Dependencies: How steps relate
  • Progress: Current vs. planned
  • Delays: Visual indication of delays

Working with Different Statuses

Draft Transactions

When in draft status:
  • All fields are editable
  • Can add/remove line items
  • Can change supplier/warehouse
  • Not affecting inventory

In Progress Transactions

When submitted:
  • Limited editing (quantity adjustments)
  • Can update steps
  • Can add documents
  • Can add notes
  • Inventory is affected

Completed Transactions

When finished:
  • Read-only
  • Full history available
  • Can export data
  • Used for reference

Cancelled Transactions

When cancelled:
  • Read-only
  • Shows reason for cancellation
  • Inventory effects reversed
  • Maintained for records

Editing Transaction Details

From the Overview tab, click Edit

Receiving Partial Quantities

When not all items arrive:

Go to Line Items

Open the Line Items tab

Update Received Quantity

Enter actual received amount

Note Discrepancy

Add notes about shortage

Decide Next Steps

  • Wait for remainder
  • Create backorder
  • Close as short

Cancelling a Transaction

Click Cancel

From actions menu, select Cancel

Provide Reason

Enter reason for cancellation

Confirm cancellation

Inventory Reverts

Committed/reserved inventory is released
Cancelling a transaction reverses its inventory effects. Ensure this is intended before confirming.

Update steps as they complete:
  • Provides accurate tracking
  • Helps team visibility
  • Improves lead time data
Keep relevant documents attached:
  • POs for reference
  • Invoices for accounting
  • Shipping docs for disputes
Document important information:
  • Special handling instructions
  • Communication with suppliers
  • Issues encountered
For multi-step orders:
  • Visualize timeline
  • Identify delays
  • Communicate with stakeholders
